After completing the email migration from third-party apps to Feishu Mail, some members' email data might not be migrated from the original email to Feishu due to reasons like not performing the migration in time. The remaining email data can be migrated using the method described in this article.
II. Troubleshooting
Issue
The business email domain has already been migrated to Feishu Mail through email migration. The migration tasks in the Feishu Admin Console have been completed, and the domain MX records now point to "mx1.feishu.cn", "mx2.feishu.cn", and "mx3.feishu.cn". But some members' email data hasn't been migrated from the original email to Feishu.
Note: If the original email service has expired or been canceled, and historical data has been cleared, then it is no longer possible to supplement the email migration.
Solution
To supplement the migration, you need to add a new domain to the original email service, replace the member's mailbox domain with the new domain, and then migrate the user email from the new domain to Feishu.
- Prepare a new domain
In addition to the domain "site1.example.com" that has completed the migration, prepare another domain "site2.example.com".
If there are no available domains, you can use a subdomain to complete these tasks. You can find how to add a subdomain in the documentation of the domain management platform. For example, you can refer to subdomain documentation for Volcano Engine.
- Replace the domain in the original business email service
In the original business email before migration, change the member's email domain from "site1.example.com" to "site2.example.com". You need to perform the following steps:
- In the admin console of the original business email, configure the domain "site2.example.com".
- Modify business email addresses in batches to replace the members' email domain with "site2.example.com".

- Initiate email migration between different domains
By starting email migration tasks between different domains, migrate data from the original email service's domain "site2.exmaple.com" to Feishu Mail's domain "site1.exmaple.com". When selecting the scope of migration, choose the members that need additional migration.
After completing the above steps, the missing email data will be migrated to Feishu. If you still cannot resolve the issue after trying these steps, contact support for help.
