You can view Docs and Sheets history and learn about who made the change. When you accidentally delete a section, you can restore it by using the history feature.
View and restore history on Desktop
1. On the editing page, hover your mouse to More in the upper right corner. Select Version history, and from the right side of the document, you can view the records of each step in the chronological order. You can see who made the changes and when it happened.
- Revised or added content will be shown in green colors.
- Deleted content will be shown in red color.
2. Locate the step you want to restore. Click More actions in the upper right corner, and click Docs details in the pop-up window.
3. On the page with details. Click the Restore button in the top right corner to continue.
4. Once you confirm the recovery, your document will be updated automatically.
View Docs history on Mobile
1. On the editing page, click the More icon in the upper right corner of the page and select Version history.
2. You can see the records showing the steps in the chronological order.
- Revised or added content will be shown in green colors.
- Deleted content will be shown in red color.
