Feature highlights
- •The host can share hosting privileges with another participant by making them a co-host.
- •The host can give hosting privileges to another participant by making them the host. The organizer of a scheduled meeting or the person who started an instant meeting can reclaim host controls at anytime.
Instructions
Add co-hosts
Note: The minimum version required for this feature is 3.33 for desktop and mobile. If a user using an older version is made the co-host, they'll have to update the app to use co-host controls.
To make another participant a co-host, choose an option:
- •In the list of participants, hover over the name of the participant and click the More icon. Select Make co-host.
- •Hover over the participant's video and click the More icon. Select Make co-host.
Once a participant has been made a co-host, they'll have access to some of the meeting controls, such as muting all participants and setting joining permissions. Unlike the host, they can't start recording or livestreaming, assign co-hosts, or end the meeting.
There are two ways in which the host can withdraw co-host permissions:
- •In the participants list, hover over the name of a co-host and click the More icon. Select Withdraw co-host permission.
- •Hover over the co-host's video and click the More icon. Select Withdraw co-host permission.
