I. Intro
You can follow a record to receive notifications when the content of the record changes to keep track of important updates in a timely manner.
Note: To follow a record, you must be in the same organization as the owner of the base.
II. Steps
Follow a record
You can follow updates for a record by clicking Follow on the record details page:
Right-click a record > Expand Details, or click Details in the index field of a record. Click Follow in the upper-right corner of the page. Click it again to unfollow.

Turn off auto-follow
If you do not want to automatically follow the records you've edited, you can do the following:
- Click Following to unfollow a record and you will not auto-follow the record when you edit it later.
- If you unfollow two records in the same base on the same day, a pop-up will appear to give you the option to turn off the auto-follow feature. Click Turn off to stop auto-following records you edit in that base.
