Version requirement: Feishu version 5.2 or above.
Who can perform these steps: Primary administrators.
Notice: Moments must be enabled before setting up the display of Moments Block in Workplace.
As a primary administrator, you can configure the Moments Block to be displayed in the Workplace, which provides real-time updates of the Moments homepage, making it easier for members to access Moments.
II. Steps
  1. Enable Moments
  1. Go to the Feishu Admin Console, click Product Settings > Moments > Moments Management, and complete the general settings before enabling Moments.

  1. Click Customization > Feature Settings > In-App Navigation Bar in the left navigation bar of the Feishu Admin Console. Click Edit Navigation, add Moments to the navigation bar of both the Feishu mobile app and desktop app, and click Save to complete the configuration.
💡
Important: If Moments is not added to the navigation bar of the Feishu mobile app and desktop app, members may not be able to use Moments properly.

  1. Get and install Moments Block
  1. Go to the Feishu Admin Console, click Product Settings > Moments > Moments Management > General settings.
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Moments block link under Display Moments block on Workplace.

  1. In the newly opened page, click Launch App. To simplify the installation steps, select All Members in Allowed members and click Authorize and Install.
  • Note: During installation, the system will automatically sync the member availability scope set in Enable Moments for in the Feishu Admin Console. Only members within this scope can see Moments Block in the Workplace.

  1. Go to the configuration page of Moments Block, and turn on the switch in the upper-right corner to enable the block.

Important: Do not select Allow members to request app access.

  1. Set Moments Block as a recommended app
  1. Go to the Feishu Admin Console and click Workplace > Workplace Settings > Admin's Picks > Add Rule.
  • Note: If there are existing recommendation rules, you can click the existing rules to edit.

  1. Complete the following required fields, then click Save.
  • Enter a note for recommendation.
  • Set the availability scope: Click Select Departments/Members to set availability for all members or specific members.
  • Set admin-picked apps: Click Add App, search for Moments Block, select it, and then click Confirm.

Note: If multiple apps are added under the same recommendation rule, the order of the apps under the recommendation rule will determine their display order on the Workplace homepage.

After clicking Save, for the members within the recommended scope, Moments Block will be displayed by default in "My Favorites" on the member's Workplace page.
Note:
  • If Moments Block is not set as a recommended app, or if a member is not within the administrator's recommendation scope, the member can click Favorites on the Workplace page, search for Moments Block, and click Add to add Moments Block to "My Favorites".
  • If Moments Block is set as a recommended app, members within the recommendation scope cannot remove Moments Block from "My Favorites". But if a member adds Moments Block to "My Favorites" on their own, they can remove it.

Why does it say "No access permission, please contact Moment administrator" when members click Moment Block?
Administrators need to add Moments to the navigation bar on desktop and mobile apps for members to access the feature.

Can members who are not in the availability scope of the Moments block use this block if I select Allow members to request app access?
Whether the Moments block is available to a member is determined by the availability scope specified in the Enable Moments for setting in Feishu Admin. Members who are not in the availability scope can't use the Moments block even if they apply to use it.

Do I need to manually change configurations in the Moments block if the availability scope of Moments is adjusted in Feishu Admin?
No, you needn't. The availability scope of Moments in Feishu Admin will be automatically applied to the Moments block.
Will the availability scope of the Moments block change if I manually configure the members who can use this block?
The availability scope of the Moments block specified in Feishu Admin will be automatically applied to the Moments block. To prevent unexpected issues, it's recommended that you avoid manually adjusting the availability scope .
What if the availability scope of the Moments block specified in Feishu Admin is not automatically applied to the Moments block?
Log in to Feishu Admin, go to Workplace > App Management , and click Moments block to go to the configuration page. Disable and then enable the Moments block to synchronize the settings.
